Khagendra Gharti-Chhetry, the founding partner of Chhetry & Associates P.C. has been practicing law since 1987. He has extensive experience in immigration law matters, including litigation, divorce, business law, real estate and bankruptcy. For over thirteen years, Mr. Chhetry has been providing legal services to individuals, small and medium size businesses and corporations. His adept and successful handling of cases has earned him a good reputation among both his clients and colleagues.

Mr. Chhetry is admitted to practice before the courts in the State of New York, United State District Courts for Southern and Eastern Districts, and before the Supreme Court of the United States. He is a member of several prestigious legal organizations, including American Bar Association, New York Bar Association, Nepal Bar Association, Indo-American Lawyers Association. He is also the President of Columbia University Alumni Association's Nepal Chapter.

Mr. Chhetry is the author of articles "Right of Self-Defense under the United Nations Charter" and "Juvenile Court—A Necessity in Nepal."

Mr. Chhetry received his J.D. from Fordham University, School of Law and his LL.M from Columbia University, School of Law, in New York City

Devendra Pradhan is an associate at Chhetry & Associates, P.C. Mr. Pradhan concentrates in all aspects of immigration law and general practice, which includes divorce and matrimonial law, corporate and partnership law, administrative (licenses and permits) law, civil and commercial litigation and international transactions

Mr. Pradhan is admitted to practice law in New York and the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts in New York. Mr. Pradhan is also admitted as an attorney in Nepal and has also worked several years in Nepal as an attorney in the area of corporate and business law.

Mr. Pradhan is a member of various national and international professional associations, such as International Bar Association, American Bar Association, American Society of International Law, New York State Bar Association, New York County Lawyer's Association and American Immigration Lawyers Association

Mr. Pradhan has written various articles and book reviews which have been widely published in various international law publications, such as International Business Lawyer and Asia Pacific Newsletter, publications of International Bar Association (London),
International Commercial Arbitration, a publication of Oceana Publications, Inc. (New York), Banks and the Control of Money Laundering, a publication of Center for International Business Law (London). Mr. Pradhan received a Master's Degree in Law from the American University, Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. where he specialized in international business law.

Durga P. Bhurtel joined Chhetry & Associates P.C. in June 2005 and he has been practicing commercial litigation, such as contract, commercial lease, franchise agreement, corporation, partnership, international trade, business immigration, business tax issues. Further he has been providing legal services to small to medium business. He has personal business experience as well. In addition to Commercial litigation, Mr. Bhurtel has been practicing other civil litigation such as personal injury, labor law, auto accident, municipality liability, and other civil. He has been handling these cases independently from beginning to final resolution such as commencing litigation, negotiation, discovery, motion practice, settlement, trail appeal. He has been also providing legal advice to non-profit corporation as well.

Mr. Bhurtel was admitted to before the Supreme Court of the state of New York (2nd Department) in March 2004 and has been practicing in the State of New York. Mr. Bhurtel was admitted before the Supreme Court of the United States, United State Tax Court, United States Court Of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, United States Court Of Appeals for the First Circuit, United States Court Of Appeals for the Second Circuit, The United States of America Southern District of New York, The United States of America Eastern District of New York and Supreme Court of Nepal.

Mr. Bhurtel worked as Judicial Intern under Justice Ira Gammerman, Commercial Division, City and State of New York.

Feras S. Rafee was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2008. He received his LLM from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in New York and his LLB from Zarka Private University, School of Law, in Jordan. He is admitted to practice before the Courts in the State of New York and the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts in New York. Mr. Rafee is a member of New York County Lawyers Association and New York State Bar Association.

Mr. Rafee is a Of Counsel of the firm since 2008, and has been appearing before the immigration Courts to handle various immigration matters. Mr. Rafee regularly appears on “Dandana TV” and discusses legal issues on a live show called “Social Matters” which is broadcasted every Saturday at noon. Dandana TV is a leading station that is broadcast nationally and internationally. Mr. Rafee takes questions from callers and provides information on matters involving immigration and family law. Mr. Rafee concentrates on practicing immigration law, commercial litigation, and family law.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Rafee worked on large scale complex commercial litigation involving pleadings and pre-trial discovery for Scura, Mealey, Wigfield & Heyer LLP. Mr. Rafee worked on many family law matters such as custody and supervision of the child, termination of parental rights, and guardianship for the State of New Jersey, Division of Youth and Family Services. Mr. Rafee performed document review on large scale corporate litigation involving fraud, deceit, and misrepresentation for Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. Furthermore, Mr. Rafee performed document review on large scale medical mal-practice litigation for Pfizer. Mr. Rafee also performed document review on large scale patent and consumer infringement litigation for McCarter & English.
